This isn't just visuals anymore. It's strategizing the works involved.

Remodeling

There are many reasons to hack walls. Open space designs allows better light permeability or improves ventilation. It could be to reorganize room layouts, change passageways or make way for new structure or designs. So many choices, so little walls to crumble and erect. Recent trends have leaned towards open concepts evident by HDB releasing White flats in 2024.Have a look at the image below and observe how the layout has changed into a more coherent layout.

Wind and light can now penetrate through the living room and kitchen freely thus improving ventilation and overall brightness.
The kitchen can now fit a large island.
A large living room increases guests capacity and leaving enough event space for different occasions. A large play pen for your children? Smack a Christmas Tree in the center? Tiling Guide

We create a tiling plan so we can see the overall view of how your selected tiles would look like in your home.There are multiple ways to tile a space. The first tile placed at the entrance and propagates from there or the first tile placed center of the room and expands outwards.

Out of sight, out of mind

Plumbing is one of those things where there is a lot of work but you won't see much of it. As long as the taps dispenses water and showers are hot, there isn't much else to think about it and that is true however in 5 years or so when repair works are carried out, you may not recall where exactly the pipes are."Are my pipes behind the bottom or top of this cabinet?"Not knowing this can be a costly and unsightly mistake as the repairman might have to make multiple destructive holes to find those pipes.

Gravity

Firstly we're going to have to calculate your required BTU for each room. Did you know the type of doors and windows would effect the final BTU requirement? Cement vs drywall(filled and unfilled) too!Additionally they'll need to be placed strategically to accommodate your needs and the drainage pipes that follows. Drainage pipes must always be tilted downwards until it reaches an outlet and for this, it makes planning so much more important.You have a few options
• Have it exposed but blended into the current design
• Conceal the trunking behind a structure being build during remodeling
• Let the trunking run wild and free all over your walls.
• Give up, complain and cry.Don't live with regret. The last thing you'd want ruining your final outcome is having place insufficient thought into trunk routing and going, "if only we did that earlier".

Do you believe in destiny? Each room should have its destiny and its function.Plan how many lumens per room is needed, number of wall outlets, ceiling fan or air conditioning.A room used for handy work would need more lights as well various wall outlet points to accommodate varying setups. A ceiling fan helps with ventilation where essential.A walk-in wardrobe would need a balanced area lighting to reduce harsh shadows cast by a light source. Warm, warm white or white lights?
